Lapping Sessions Program for You

Here is a 10 lap program that is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to finally find their Bond body buried underneath. All you need to get started is a stopwatch and access to a track that you can use for running, walking and jogging. It is important to know that for most tracks, 1 lap is the equivalent to ¼ of a mile. This means that you must go around the track four times to equal 1 mile.

Don’t Forget To Loosen Up

You might think that your time on the track is the most important, but it is your warm-up that matters most. If you want to avoid energy and have the strength to finish your lapping sessions each day, you need to start with a warm-up that loosens your joints and muscles. Stretching will get you ready for the track and be sure to focus on key areas including your groin, hamstrings, calves and lower back. It is also a good idea to invest in some running shoes and apparel that will help you look the part and stay comfortable while you work to get in Bond-like shape.

Laps 1 and 2

On laps 1 and 2, you should do your best to walk instead of run. This will help to get your entire body warmed up and help to increase your heart rate slowly. Walking at an increased pace is the optimal way to begin the first two laps.

Laps 3 and 4

What About the Rest?

After you have finished your first mile, the rest of your workout should be a combination of a fast-paced run or a brisk jog. Completing 10 miles should be your goal, but you ca always walk if your endurance is not up to par.  As long as you stay active and diligent, you should have a summer Bond body in no time at all.
